Mr Scheckter established the 2500 acre LaverstokePark estate to ‘produce the best tasting, healthiest food without compromise’. Virtually all the animals on the farm are rare or traditional breeds, including 141 Hereford cattle, 29 pure Aberdeen Angus, 931 water buffalo, 450 pigs and wild boar, 3000 sheep, 65 pedigree Jersey cows plus chickens and turkeys .
